Having worked with a variety of organisations that support children & families I have long held the belief that self-esteem and confidence,  feeling good about ourselves, plays a key part in resilience - enabling us to cope with whatever life throws at us.  This is particularly true for girls who are under increasing pressure from a variety of sources & so I am delighted to be a part of Cherished & watch the work that we do make a difference to the lives of girls every day.  

 

 

For the early part of my working life I was an accountant. Later I changed career and trained to be a church minister - I'm now the Rector of Holy Trinity, the parish church of central Sutton Coldfield. Hopefully, as a director of Cherished, I am able to offer something from both those backgrounds. As a parent, I'm very aware of the challenges young people face in their formative years. I've seen the very real results Cherished can have in the lives of the girls they deal with. So when I was approached by Cherished, I was very keen to help.'
