Find out what our girls have to say about Blossom
Monday nights have never been so much fun. Our younger Cherished girls meet to laugh, learn and love, getting messy with crafts, cooking up something spectacular, performing, playing games and having fun with friends.
Blossom sessions build upon the topics from the Cherished course, using group games and challenges to encourage friendship and social skills. Recent themes have included:
-
Why we should be kind
-
Being a good friend
-
The Big L Word (love)
-
Some secrets should never be kept

We find Blossom is an excellent way for girls to meet other girls who are from their area and may share similar experiences. The group promotes empowerment challenging gender stereotypes and allowing the girls to express themselves.
There are opportunities for girls to take responsibility, such as the Blossom Young Leaders and representing Cherished within the community, fundraising or helping at events.
The effort and progress of our girls is recognised at the Blossom Awards Evening, as well as rewards such as the termly social, trips, a Cherished hoody and the annual Blossom residential, held over 2 nights at a Midlands activity centre. We are currently planning this year's adventure!
